Former Saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove says NFL 'got their evidence all wrong'

A day after the NFL pushed out mounds of evidence the league contends proves the New Orleans Saints ran a bounty system for three years, including a video presentation purportedly of former Saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove imploring a teammate to settle up on a bounty payment, Hargrove decided to shove back.

At a press conference outside of the NFL's New York headquarters on Tuesday afternoon, Hargrove denied involvement in a bounty program, even adding that the voice on the audiotape from the 2009 NFC championship game heard saying, "Bobby, give me the money!" was not his.

"Here's the problem with that," Hargrove said according to a transcript of his statement obtained by CBS Sports. "It wasn't me. That's right. The NFL got their evidence all wrong. In their rush to convict me, they made a very serious error. Is it intentional? I don't know. But one thing I do know with absolute certainty ...it...was...not...me!

"Like I said, lean in closer, look closer, listen closer. It is not my voice. Anyone who knows me well knows that it is not me. But the NFL does not know me well. They simply make assumptions. With ... my ... life."

Hargrove's repeated denials and strong language did little to change the thinking of NFL brass, however.

"We stand by the findings of our investigation," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday.

In the video of the sideline huddle, which has been widely reported to have occurred in the third quarter of the NFC title game, it is difficult to discern if the voice is that of Hargrove because the head of defensive lineman Remi Ayodele obstructs the view of the camera.

Also the timing of the purported plea for Hargrove to be paid following the third quarter injury of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is a little odd, as Hargrove's big hit that shook Favre up and left the Saints penalized 15 yards and Hargrove fined $5,000 occurred in the second quarter.

The injury that assistant coach Joe Vitt is believed to be talking about with defenders happened when defensive end Bobby McCray and Ayodele sent Favre sprawling with a high-low blow in the third quarter.

"I have seen the NFL Network broadcast that it was me as if it were fact," Hargrove said. "But again, it is absolutely not. It will be easily provable. In fact, there is no way they can prove that it is me. I stake my life on the fact that it is not me. I wonder if Roger Goodell is willing to stake his job on this piece of evidence? Or Jeff Pash? Or Adolpho Birch? Or Mary Jo White? Or anyone else associated with this mockery."

Hargrove also accused the NFL of twisting his words from a declaration he signed as part of the investigation.

"I watched in shock as they took my declaration a couple of months ago and made it into something it was not," Hargrove said. "It left from me as a private explanation of certain specific events and, voila, came out as a confession of crimes. Even I had to blink my eyes real hard to see how they did that one. Do you know they never even asked me what I meant? Just assumed I wanted to confess, I guess."

Hargrove's statement was just the latest development in the players and their union's attack of the NFL and its handling of the bounty investigation.

Hargrove was one of four current and former Saints player suspended for their roles in the scandal. Hargrove, who now plays for the Green Bay Packers, was suspended eight games, while former Saints linebacker Scott Fujita was suspended for three games. Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has been banished for the entire 2012 season, while defensive end Will Smith has been suspended for four games.

All have denied taken part in any kind of pay-to-injure program, and they met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday as part of their appeals hearing.

Meanwhile, the NFLPA has gone full throttle in attacking the NFL's evidence, some of which was laid out for reporters Monday, purportedly showing where the Saints had as much as $35,000 in a pool for their 2009 playoff game against the Vikings.

But the NFLPA's outside counsel wasn't too impressed.

In a statement released Monday, Richard Smith said the NFL ran a sloppy investigation and punished players before they had the ability to confront, challenge or explain a single piece of evidence used against them.

Smith also accused the NFL of withholding evidence from the players for nearly four months despite repeated requests for full information and full transparency and of falsely characterized witness interviews.

"The conduct of the Commissioner and his representatives has undermined the fundamental process contemplated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement," Smith said in a statement. "Through this abuse, these players have been denied any semblance of due process and fairness.

"At a time when some question the safety and integrity of the game, the failure by those charged to act responsibly and fairly have challenged our collective faith and confidence in the league."

GOODELL TO MEET SENATOR: Goodell will meet with U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin today in Washington to discuss the NFL's bounty investigation into the Saints, Aiello confirmed.

Goodell and Durbin are expected to hold a press following their meeting.

(AP) ? Roger Clemens was acquitted Monday on all charges that he obstructed and lied to Congress in denying he used performance-enhancing drugs to extend his long career as one of the greatest and most-decorated pitchers in baseball history.

Fierce on the pitching mound in his playing days, Clemens was quietly emotional after the verdict was announced. "I'm very thankful," he said, choking up as he spoke. "It's been a hard five years," said the pitcher, who was retried after an earlier prosecution ended in a mistrial.

This case was lengthy, but the deliberations were relatively brief. Jurors returned their verdict after less than 10 hours over several days. The outcome ended a 10-week trial that capped the government's investigation of the pitcher known as "The Rocket" for the fastball that he retained into his 40s. He won seven Cy Young Awards, emblematic of the league's best pitcher each year in a 24-year career with the Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays and Astros.

The verdict was the latest blow to the government's legal pursuit of athletes accused of illicit drug use.

A seven-year investigation into home run king Barry Bonds yielded a guilty verdict on only one count of obstruction of justice in a San Francisco court last year, with the jury deadlocked on whether Bonds lied to a grand jury when he denied knowingly taking performance-enhancing drugs.

A two-year, multi-continent investigation of cyclist Lance Armstrong was recently closed with no charges brought, though the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency filed formal accusations last week that could strip the seven-time Tour de France winner of his victories in that storied race. Armstrong denies any doping.

In a non-drug-related case, the Clemens outcome also comes on the heels of the Department of Justice's failure to gain a conviction in the high-profile corruption trial of former presidential candidate John Edwards

Late Monday, as the jury foreman read the acquittal on the final count, Clemens bit his lower lip and rubbed a tear from his eye.

Clemens, family members and his lawyers took turns exchanging hugs. At one point, Clemens and his four sons gathered in the middle of the courtroom, arms interlocked like football players in a huddle, and sobbing could be heard. Debbie Clemens dabbed her husband's eyes with a tissue.

Accused of cheating to achieve and extend his success ? and then facing felony charges that he lied about it ? Clemens declared outside the courthouse, "I put a lot of hard work into that career."

His chief lawyer, Rusty Hardin, walked up to a bank of microphones and exclaimed: "Wow!"

Hardin said Clemens had to hustle to get to court in time to hear the verdict. "All of us had told Roger there wouldn't be a verdict for two, three or four days, so he was actually working out with his sons almost at the Washington Monument when he got the call that there was a verdict."

Prosecutors declined to comment as they left the courthouse. But the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a written statement, "The jury has spoken in this matter, and we thank them for their service. We respect the judicial process and the jury's verdict."

Clemens, 49, was charged with two counts of perjury, three counts of making false statements and one count of obstructing Congress when he testified at a deposition and at a nationally televised hearing in February 2008. The charges centered on his repeated denials that he used steroids and human growth hormone during a 24-year career produced 354 victories.

The first attempt to try Clemens last year ended in a mistrial when prosecutors played a snippet of video evidence that had previously been ruled inadmissible.

Still, Monday's verdict is unlikely to settle the matter in sports circles as to whether Clemens cheated in the latter stages of a remarkable career that extended into a period in which performance-enhancing drug use in baseball was thought to be prevalent. Clemens himself told Congress at the 2008 hearing that "no matter what we discuss here today, I'm never going to have my name restored."

A crucial barometer comes this fall, when Clemens' name appears on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time. His statistics would normally make him a shoo-in for baseball's greatest honor, but voters have been reluctant to induct premier players ? such as Mark McGwire and Rafael Palmeiro ? whose careers were tainted by allegations of drug use.

Clemens capped his career with age-defying performances. He went 18-4 and won his seventh Cy Young Award at the age of 41, and the next year posted a career-best 1.87 ERA. His 4,672 strikeouts ranked third in baseball history.

The government's case relied heavily on the testimony of Clemens' longtime strength coach, Brian McNamee, who testified he injected Clemens with steroids in 1998, 2000 and 2001 and with HGH in 2000. McNamee produced a needle and other materials he said were from a steroids injection of Clemens in 2001, items that McNamee said he stored in and around a Miller Lite beer can inside a FedEx box for some six years.

But McNamee was the only person to claim firsthand knowledge of Clemens using steroids and HGH, and even prosecutors conceded their star witness was a "flawed man." Clemens' lawyers relentlessly attacked McNamee's credibility and integrity. They pointed out that his story had changed over the years and implied that he conjured up the allegations against Clemens to placate federal investigators.

Some items associated with the beer can were found to have Clemens' DNA and steroids, but the defense called the evidence "garbage" and claimed it had been contaminated or manipulated by McNamee.

Other evidence offered tenuous links between Clemens and performance-enhancing drugs. Former teammate Andy Pettitte recalled a conversation in which Clemens supposedly admitted using HGH, but Pettitte said under cross-examination that there was a "50-50" chance that he had misheard.

Convicted drug dealer Kirk Radomski testified that he supplied McNamee with HGH for a starting pitcher and even sent a shipment to Clemens' house under McNamee's name, but Radomski had no way of knowing if any of the HGH was specifically used on Clemens. The pitcher's wife, Debbie, admitted receiving an HGH shot from McNamee, but she and McNamee differed over when the injection occurred and whether Clemens was present.

Clemens' lawyers contended that the pitcher's success resulted from a second-to-none work ethic and an intense workout regimen dating to his high school days. They said that Clemens was indeed injected by McNamee ? but that the needles contained the vitamin B12 and the anesthetic lidocaine and not performance-enhancing drugs.

Clemens was invited to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in 2008 after he publicly denied accusations made in the Mitchell Report on drugs in baseball that he had used steroids and HGH. He first appeared at a congressional deposition, where he said: "I never used steroids. Never performance-enhancing steroids." He made a similarly categorical denial at a hearing about a week later, appearing alongside McNamee, who stuck to his story.

Soon after, committee chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and ranking member Tom Davis, R-Va., asked the Justice Department to investigate whether Clemens had lied under oath. In 2010, a grand jury indicted him on the six counts. Clemens lawyer Hardin revealed at the time that federal prosecutors made Clemens a plea offer but the former pitcher rejected it.

Both Waxman and Davis accepted the verdict while defending their decision to send the case to the Justice Department.

"The committee referred Mr. Clemens to the Justice Department because we had significant doubts about the truthfulness of his testimony in 2008," Waxman said. "The decision whether Mr. Clemens committed perjury is a decision the jury had to make and I respect its decision."

Davis said, " I think he's gone through enough. We did the appropriate thing in referring it over to Justice. But hopefully this will put it behind him. He's a good citizen."

Microsoft reveals its own Windows 8 tablet meet the new Surface for Windows RT

Here at its mysterious, last-minute press event in Los Angeles, Microsoft just confirmed it will sell its own Microsoft-branded Windows 8 RT tablet under the Surface badge. Measuring just 9.3mm thick, the Surface for Windows RT is built around an angled, all-magnesium VaporMg case that weighs just under 1.3 pounds, with an NVIDIA-made ARM chip powering the whole affair. Microsoft's hardware partner has also gone all-out on extra touches, such as a built-in stand, twin 2x2 MIMO antennas for WiFi, and a 10.6-inch optically-bonded, Gorilla Glass 2-covered HD display. Not unlike Apple's last two generations, there's a magnetically attached cover, but it's more than just a protector: here, it includes a full multi-touch keyboard and trackpad. As for expansion, you'll get one each of HDMI, microSD and USB 2.0 (sorry folks, no 3.0) as well as either 32GB or 64GB of storage, while software includes the usual Windows 8 accoutrements and a newly Metrofied version of Netflix. The Surface for Windows RT should arrive roughly in step with Windows 8, but Microsoft is only promising pricing "competitive" with similar ARM tablets -- and you're looking for a tablet with more grunt, you can spring for the Intel-packing Surface for Windows 8 Pro.

Be sure to check out our hands-on with the Surface!

(AP) ? A former Penn State assistant coach who worked with Jerry Sandusky testified Monday that he and other members of the football staff were present when Sandusky brought young boys into the team's showers.

Dick Anderson, the first witness called by the defense after prosecutors rested their case Monday, said he never witnessed anything inappropriate.

"If Jerry would bring someone in with The Second Mile, they had been working out, for whatever reason they came in, it was not uncommon ... with the other coaches in the shower as well," Anderson said.

Anderson also testified that it's not unusual for him to be in the showers with younger boys at the YMCA.

Anderson took the stand after prosecutors presented their 21st, and final, witness, a woman whose son said Sandusky raped him in the basement of the coach's home.

The woman said her son told her that Sandusky called him late one night after the first round of charges were filed in November, asking if he'd be a character witness. But the next month, prosecutors brought charges against Sandusky, alleging he'd had forced anal sex with the boy.

The woman said her son's laundry would often be short of underwear and he would claim he had thrown it away because he had an accident. Last week, the teen said Sandusky forced him to have anal sex that made him bleed.

"I always wondered why he never had any underwear in the laundry," she said. "There was never any underwear, any socks ... that was odd to me."

Also Monday, prosecutors withdrew one count against Sandusky, saying the statute he was charged under did not apply at the time of the alleged illegal contact.

That leaves 51 counts involving 10 alleged victims over a 15-year span. Sandusky, whose November arrest led to the ouster of Penn State's president and the firing of Hall of Fame football coach Joe Paterno, has denied wrongdoing.

During his testimony, Anderson said Sandusky had a "wonderful reputation" in the community.

"He was well thought of in every regard," Anderson said.

He also testified about the busy schedule Penn State coaches kept.

In their questions to prosecution witnesses, the defense has sought to show how the stories of accusers have changed over time, that they were prodded and coached by investigators and prosecutors, that some are motivated to lie by the hopes of a civil lawsuit jackpot, and to paint Sandusky's interactions with children as misunderstood and part of a lifelong effort to help, not victimize, them.

Defense attorney Joe Amendola pressed the accusers for dates and locations, details of their involvement with the kids' charity Sandusky founded, arrests or drug problems, contacts they had with Sandusky in the years since the alleged abuse ended and the terms of representation deals with civil lawyers. At least six said they told incorrect or incomplete stories in early contacts with police, and three testified that some of the details only came back to them in recent years.

Stop And Frisk Protest: Thousands In New York Hold Silent March Against NYPD Tactics (PHOTOS)

NEW YORK ? A silent march by thousands of people in New York City protesting police "stop-and-frisk" tactics on Sunday was punctuated by an explosion of loud voices.

"We've got to fight back, we can't be silent!" a group of activists shouted as they passed the home of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, just off Fifth Avenue.

But the rest of the quiet, slow procession from Harlem down the avenue was interrupted only by the tapping of feet on the pavement and birds chirping in trees along Central Park.

Nearly 300 civil rights groups were represented in the 30-block walk, from elected officials and labor union members to New York residents angry about how they're being treated when they walk the streets.

Critics say the NYPD's practice of stopping, questioning and searching people who police consider suspicious is illegal and humiliating to hundreds of thousands of law-abiding blacks and Hispanics. Last year, the NYPD stopped close to 700,000 people, up from more than 90,000 a decade ago.

Bloomberg's town house on East 79th Street was the proclaimed destination of the Sunday march. The home and sidewalk in front were blocked off by police barricades, and officers would not say whether the mayor was home.

As the march wound down, with a lineup of buses waiting to take protesters away, tensions between police and protesters suddenly escalated into clashes.

A group of them, led by longtime Occupy Wall Street activists, insisted on walking down Fifth below East 77th Street ? apparently the cutoff point where police tried to direct them to side streets.

Police officers on scooters lined both sides of the avenue and officers on foot formed a line to keep people on the sidewalk. Several scuffles broke out between screaming protesters and officers who pushed them behind barricades.

One woman was seen wrestling with an officer who had leaped across a barricade, chasing her before she was arrested. Police said nine people were arrested on various charges including assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

"The silence ended and the people's voices came out," said Matthew Swaye, 34, a former Bronx school teacher and self-described longtime Occupy protester.

"We were told to go home and we weren't ready to go yet," said Swaye, who added that his wife, Christina Gonzalez, 25, was one of the protesters arrested in the melee.

The Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network, the NAACP and Local 1199 of the SEIU union were the leading organizers of Sunday's march.

Resting on a bench while others walked, Samantha Tailor, a mother of two from the Bronx, said her 16-year-old son came home from school "very upset" last month after he and two friends were stopped on their way to classes that morning. That was the second time for her son in recent months, she said.

"Thank God, he had his ID," Tailor said. "He wasn't doing anything wrong, just walking to school."

And when officers pushed the three against a wall and went through their pockets, "he told me he was very quiet, very humble."

Tailor said she had taught him what to do if he were stopped.

The practice of silent marches dates to 1917, when the NAACP led a protest through New York against lynchings and segregation in the U.S.

"We are black, white, Asian, LGBT, straight, Jewish, Muslim and Christian," New York City Council member Jumaane Williams said before Sunday's march began, standing alongside American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten. "Mayor Bloomberg has been our great uniter. We've been screaming loudly, and he hasn't heard us, but hopefully he'll hear the deafening silence."

Critics say the NYPD's practice of stopping, questioning and searching people who police consider suspicious is illegal and humiliating to thousands of law-abiding blacks and Hispanics.

Last year, the NYPD stopped more than 685,000 people, mostly black and Hispanic young men ? up from about 97,000 a decade earlier, according to the New York Civil Liberties Union, which also was to join the march. About half of those stopped are frisked, and about 10 percent are arrested.

"In most cities, when you ask who gets beaten up by the cops, the answer comes back: black people, people of color, and the gay community," Benjamin Jealous, head of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said on MSNBC.

Jealous said that "the notion that this make us safer really defies logic," noting that other large cities have cut their crime rate without resorting to stop-and-frisk methods.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly defend the policy, saying the program keeps guns off New York streets and helps stop crime before it happens.

Speaking at a Christian cultural center on Sunday in Brooklyn, Bloomberg said he is working with police to ensure that people are treated respectfully when they are stopped.

"I cannot in good conscience walk away from work that I know will save the lives of so many of our brothers and sisters, and I will not," the mayor said.

Weingarten said it was the first time that members of the LGBT community marched with the black community for the same cause.

Big powers, Iran hold nuclear talks as time runs out

MOSCOW (Reuters) - World powers began two days of talks with Iran on Monday to try to end a decade-long stand-off over Tehran's nuclear program and avert the threat of a new war in the Middle East.

In Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tehran would be prepared to stop enriching uranium to a higher level - a process that could be used to make nuclear arms - if the six powers agreed to meet its needs for the fuel. But it is not clear how much influence Ahmadinejad has over the negotiations and whether his remarks reflect Tehran's position in the talks.

Experts and diplomats said a breakthrough was unlikely at the meeting in Moscow, where the world powers are wary of making concessions that would enable Tehran draw out the talks and give it more time to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

Iran strenuously denies it has any wish to obtain such weaponry and says it only wants nuclear technology to generate electricity.

Israel has threatened to bomb Iran if no solution to the dispute is found [ID:nL5E8GH8UN], oil markets are nervous over the prospect of intensifying regional tensions and the frail world economy can ill afford a further increase in crude prices.

"The atmosphere was fine, business-like and good. We hope this translates into a serious political commitment by the Iranians to address our proposals," a European Union spokesman said after the talks started in the Russian capital.

But a Western official made clear the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany were ready to deepen Iran's diplomatic and economic isolation if no deal is reached.

"If Iran remains unwilling to take the opportunities these talks present, it will face continuing and intensified pressure and isolation," a Western official said.

The Moscow talks follow two rounds of negotiations since diplomacy resumed in April following a 15-month hiatus.

The United States wants to halt Iran's enrichment of uranium to 20 percent purity, a level which some experts consider to be a dangerous step towards achieving the ability to create the explosive material required to make a nuclear bomb.

Ahmadinejad's comments on enrichment appeared intended to ease pressure from the world powers and encourage them to make concessions at the talks.

"From the beginning the Islamic Republic has stated that if European countries provided 20 percent enriched fuel for Iran, it would not enrich to this level," Ahmadinejad stated in comments published on his presidential website.

But the Iranian president, who stands down at elections next year, has fallen out of favor with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the man who has the ultimate decision-making power over the strategic nuclear program.

PRESSURE MOUNTS ON IRAN

New U.S. and European Union sanctions are due to come into force in two weeks, tightening economic pressure on Iran.

Without progress to ensure Iran does not develop nuclear arms, Israel "could find itself facing the dilemma of 'a bomb, or to bomb'," Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon said on Sunday.

"Should that be the choice, then bombing (Iran) is preferable to a bomb (in Iran's hands)," he said. "I hope we do not face that dilemma."

The six powers - led by EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton - hope at least to win assurances that Tehran is willing to discuss concrete solutions, opening the way to progress.

The six nations want a substantive response to their offer of fuel supplies for a research reactor and relief in sanctions on the sale of commercial aircraft parts to Iran.

At the last talks, in Baghdad last month, they asked Tehran in return to stop producing higher-grade uranium, ship any stockpile out of the country and close down the underground Fordow facility where such work is done.

But Iran's chief negotiator, Saeed Jalili, has indicated the incentives on offer are insufficient.

Iranian officials said Tehran would express dissatisfaction there were no preparatory talks for the Moscow meeting and that progress was possible only if the six powers acknowledged its right to enrich uranium, something they have refused to do until Tehran agrees to in-depth U.N. inspections of its nuclear sites.

GROWING CONCERN

Iran is seeking an end to increasingly tough economic sanctions which have in recent months directly targeted its ability to export oil, its economic lifeblood.

But international concern is growing. The International Atomic Energy Agency failed to persuade Iran, in talks this month, to let it inspect the Parchin military site where it suspects nuclear bomb-related research took place.

Last week, EU officials said Jalili had agreed to give serious consideration to the six powers' proposal. Russia's determination to avoid diplomatic defeat may increase hopes of agreement to at least meet again.

But U.S. and European diplomats have given no public indication of any willingness to scale back economic sanctions. An EU embargo on Iranian oil takes full effect on July 1 and new U.S. financial sanctions some days before that.

Measures including the EU ban on Iranian crude are already taking a toll. Iran's exports have fallen by some 40 percent this year, according to the International Energy Agency [ID:nL5E8HD4JG]. Iran says it has no problem replacing customers that choose to boycott its crude.

Future T-Mobile Samsung QWERTY slider snapped in the wild

Android Central

Well well well, what do we have here? Seems that Sprint might not be the only ones with a new QWERTY slider in the pipeline. The folks over at ?TmoNews ?have been sent this snapshot of what is purported to be the SGH-T699, a future Samsung smartphone heading to T-Mobile

Details on specs are a little scarce, but it's supposed to be housing some form of Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5MP rear camera, a front facing camera and an LED notification light. Whatever this may be is also supposed to be running Android 4.0.4 out of the box. Oh, and the traditional -- at least internationally anyway -- Samsung home button.

It probably isn't going to be the highest end device some would maybe hope for, but allegedly it does run really smoothly. QWERTY keyboards might well be going the way of the dinosaurs, but variety is still a good thing. Some people really like their keyboards after all. We'll have to keep our eyes open for more on this one.

The Mirror Principle, Part 2 ? Empowering Your Mind

by Linda-Ann Stewart

Whenever you don?t like a trait in someone else, it?s usually reflecting something within you that you?ve concealed from yourself. It also may be that you recognize the potential for that trait within yourself, and don?t like it. I don?t like people to belittle others, or are cruel. When I hurt someone?s feelings, even unintentionally, it hurts me.

In the past, I would even avoid confronting someone who?d been mean to me because I didn?t want to hurt them. What I finally realized is that the potential to be cruel is within me, as it is within us all, but it?s well hidden. Since I acknowledged that, I can now respond appropriately to someone who is nasty.

You don?t have to act on those attributes you don?t like. But when you find out how the qualities you dislike are expressing in you, and accept them, the energy around them melts away. You no longer have to attract people who are reflecting the parts of you that you?ve masked.

The Universe simply sent them into your life to teach you to accept yourself. All of yourself. Once I began to be true to myself, and convey that to the world, I attracted friends and a partner who were more open with me. The Universe accepts you unconditionally as you are. Wouldn?t you want to accept yourself as much as the Universe does?

3 Effective Methods To Achieve Higher Self Esteem In Your ...

This article has been viewed 15 times.

Self esteem improvement in any organization is a solid low cost investment in any business. Performance levels of those with high self esteem have been shown to be higher than those with low self esteem, even though this is still considered an unusual approach. When you really think about, there are so many benefits that can be realized if your work force is more positive and has a healthy outlook. The self esteem of your work force can be increased if you follow these three proven and effective strategies.

To help build healthy self esteem and an employees sense of worth and value, you need to understand the importance of recognition. These opportunities often don?t get fully taken advantage of or are neglected entirely. The individual contributions people make to improve your business should always be recognized and valued. Not only can you easily accomplish this task in various ways but you can and should implement it throughout the different levels of your business. This aspect of business dynamics needs to be brought to the attention of all the management levels in your company.

Receiving individual recognition on a personal level has a positive impact on people. The personal approach as well as organization-wide recognition are two highly effective methods to help increase self esteem and a sense of value among people.

The perception others have of us and how they accept us or not, directly impact our self esteem. To be rejected by someone is a feeling that everyone has felt at some point in their life. Accepting others unconditionally is vital for you as the head of your business. We all know that there are some faults that will need to not be accepted. However, you can demonstrate a positive impression by showing that you understand people have faults, including you, yet it?s ok and it is something that can be worked with.

To make an impact on people in a positive way you will need to improve your listening skills and learn to be an active listener. When you show another person that you are really listening to what they have to say, then that tells the person that you care about what they have to say. We all know that it?s important to feel that what we think, feel, and say matters. The impact on your work force would be great if you utilize this approach. You should also make it part of your overall training for all levels of management.

The methods and strategies available for improving self esteem within the workplace are generally small in nature. But don?t let that fool you about their effectiveness. After all, it is the little things that count the most and have the most far reaching impact. Cost is a major concern for businesses. But the kinds of programs and policies that get positive results are of a more personal nature and cost very little.
